The Sydney Morning Herald reports that a Sydney based website designer has lost a case put against her because of her "taste, grammatical and spelling errors" in producing a clients website. The original article is here.
I can only presume that the site designer didn't get final approval before publishing the site. Typically, the designer would work with the client on correcting/improving the copy that the client has provided. Failure to do this, and the result is obvious. At the end, it really is upto the site designer/developer to get the proper signoff before going live. Live and learn.
Several weeks ago I signed up for a Vox account after reading about it on Vantan's blog. Well, to state the obvious, my request was granted recently and here of course is the typical "Hello World" post :-)
So far it's been a pleasurable experience, one small gripe though is that I couldn't directly reference my photo on the web. The options were that it be on my computer, in flickr, iStockphot, or Photobucket. Not a big issue by any means but IMHO they left out the simplest option.
I'm off to explore my 'hood and see what's around in Vox, which btw is a cool domain name in this day and age.
